Groundbreaking digital magazine

When Connect launched the world’s first iPad whisky magazine – The Scotch Malt Whisky Society’s member magazine Unfiltered – the result was astonishing.

And since then, the digital editions that followed on the Apple Newsstand have only improved, to wide acclaim.

The sophisticated digital magazine, combining great content with cutting-edge technology, has picked up a number of industry awards since its launch and, more crucially, attracted great feedback from Society members.

The digital publication is the electronic version of the award-winning print magazine, but with added extras to enhance the content – video, 360-degree photography, hidden content and a host of other groundbreaking interactive features.

As well giving members all over the world an enhanced reading experiencing, the magazine brings Unfiltered to a much wider audience, and is another way for the Society to promote membership and its range of single cask, single malt whiskies.

Kai Ivalo, sales & marketing director for The Scotch Malt Whisky Society, said: “Our vision for Unfiltered on the iPad was to reflect the excitement, adventure and curiosity which comes with a love of great whisky. Like a good dram, it impresses from the first nosing, but also has hidden depths for those prepared to explore.”
